North Island, rain becoming heavier and more persistent,then easing to showers, northwesterlies dying away. South Island, rain or showers in most places, snow on the hills in the south and east, then fine apart from showers in the far south.
North Island, showers in the east from Coromandel Peninsula to Napier, remaining showers elsewhere clearing and becoming fine. South Island, mainly fine, a few coastal showers in the south.
North Island, mainly fine, cloudy periods and a few showers in the west from Northland to Manawatu. South Island, showers spreading up the west coast, turning to rain in the south, fine elsewhere apart from showers near Foveaux Strait.
Rain on Sunday, easing to showers later and northwesterlies turning lighter southwest. Occasional showers and southerly winds on Monday and Tuesday.
