North Island, cloudy periods with late drizzle patches from Taranaki to Wellington, mainly fine elsewhere. South Island, rain spreading up the west coast, high cloud increasing in the east with scattered rain later, mainly fine in Nelson and Marlborough.

Chatham Islands

Fine spells and a few showers on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Westerlies turning colder southerly on Tuesday, then dying away on Wednesday.
