Tuesday

North Island, Rain north of Waikato. Elsewhere, becoming fine early, but rain developing later in the west, and high cloud increasing in the east. South Island, Mainly fine at first, rain developing, heavy in the west, but just scattered falls in the east, clearing later but showers remain in Fiordland.

Wednesday

North Island, Fine with high cloud in the east.Showers elsewhere, some possibly heavy. South Island, Showers for most places, heavy in the west.

Chatham Islands

A period of rain with a southerly change on Monday. A few showers on Tuesday, turning to rain with strong northerlies developing. Rain easing to a few showers on Wednesday.
